ARCHITECTURE & FRENCH MAJOR
MIAMI UNIVERSITY
As an aspiring architect, I strive to create places where people are united with and inspired by their community, so that they can experience a welcoming, supportive, and encouraging environment. By balancing the use of native plant species, cultural context, and artistic vision, I strive to design wholistically connected spaces.
I am an architecture and French double major, and I love to expand my cultural experiences at every available opportunity. I have been lucky enough to do this with three study abroad experiences. I studied in Dijon, France for five weeks as a part of an intensive French program, in Luxembourg for the fall semester of 2020, and returning to Luxembourg for a internship. These experiences solidified my adoration of other cultures and general love of travel. I know architecture and French are a surprising combination. Yet, the two create a perfect harmony between my passions for languages and design. They have helped me to design two independently driven projects, and not only that, but these differing areas of study have give me a unique perspective of the world.
Outside of school, I love to cook, read, and plan my next travel destinations. In the next thirty years, I hope that all these skills, passions, and hobbies lead to a little chateau, that’s actually a bed and breakfast, surrounded by vineyards and lavender fields.
